What is the Monk Library?
The Monk Library is a curated library of the life works of Calen Rayne. Explore the visible and invisible realms through courses, dharma talks, hierograms, paintings, poems, sacred objects, labyrinths, Tibetan and zen Buddhist teachings, sermons, and other work. Calen and his curators believe it is important to share their resources and knowledge with others. He is what some refer to as terton, a term within Tibetan Buddhism meaning “a person who is a discoverer of ancient hidden texts or terma”. Information he continues to source from visible and often invisible realms can serve to guide us as we navigate our world of increasing hyper-complexity. Please join our community of knowledge seekers on a journey of discovery.

Spiritual Exploration
Calen offers one-on-one conversations with an emphasis on Spiritual Exploration, similar to Spiritual Direction, but with a primary focus on nurturing a person's spiritual journey and life path already in motion. Drawing from mathematical principles based on sacred numbers and Kabalarian philosophy, the initial goal is to determine where one is on their life path energetically with relation to sacred numbers and share specific goals and tools to complement and inform one's journey.
A Raven Circle mandala pattern, based on world wisdom symbols, is then introduced, which enables one to focus on specific aspects of one’s current life path that might need to be addressed. The objective is not to "direct" one's spiritual path but to bring a new vision of what their current path is and share teachings and techniques from world wisdom traditions that might be beneficial additions to one's "toolbox." Creative expression is very important, so Calen shares labyrinth exercises, sacred writing, collage, ritual objects, sacred altars, and contemplative brush practices as part of this exploration process.
